Spore Lord Concept

Lords of the Spore are harbingers of a great and terrible fungal god that will one day blanket the world in its glory.
Often inducted into service as infants; many races find themselves under the sway of the great Spore. The ritualistic casting of fungal dust onto their tiny bodies leaves the kidnapped children as little more than meat-substrate upon which the mushroom grows.
Eventually they mature into priests who work tirelessly to ready the world for the return of their ancient master.
